Percussionist, dancer and record producer Guy Schalom re-unites an all-star team of Egyptian master musicians for a rare London performance to launch his latest CD – the follow-up to the popular Baladi Blues.
The cosmopolitan metropolis of early 20th Century Cairo attracted many of Egypt’s folk musicians – very soon they adapted their ancient folk tunes to their new sophisticated urban environment to create: Baladi…
This one-off concert in the intimate surroundings of St Ethelburga’s is the band’s only scheduled London appearance in 2011. Tickets are strictly limited so early booking is strongly recommended.
