Top 10 tips to Improve quickly in Bellydance!

February 8th, 2011

  1. Practise every single day at home for between 10 and 30 mins maximum! If you do it for too long one night you won’t do it at all for the rest of the week.
  2. Try out different teachers and all their different styles.
  3. Grab any opportunity to perform at haflas and other bellydance events.
  4. Make some good contacts with already professionals bellydancers in your area.
  5. Book a trip to Egypt and simply absorb the vibe and treat yourself to a couple of gorgeous bellydance costumes.
  6. Buy loads of music.
  7. Take every opportunity to dance. Any “dead time” should be spent practising, including for instance when: brushing your teeths, waiting at the bus stop, long bus journeys, washing-up…..
  8. Tell people around you that you ARE a bellydancer. If you believe in it, then it will happen.
  9. Watch a new youtube performance every day and just analyse the moves.
  10. Be creative. Use what you know but make it personal!

Poi Courses 2011- London

February 4th, 2011

Perfect Circle Poi runs Beginners and Intermediate Poi Spinning Courses and Fire Dancing Performance and Choreography Courses in London -together with Private Spinning Lessons, Group Workshops, Performances and Shows for Corporate and Private Functions and Poi in the Park Jam Sessions

At Perfect Circle Poi we believe spinning is a fun, creative, visually exciting and sociable activity which brings people together from all ages and walks of life.

Our Beginners, Intermediate and Fire Dancing Performance and Choreography Poi Spinning Courses are designed to ensure that our students learn in a relaxed, fun and friendly environment and participants are given all the support they need to become accomplished spinners. Our tutors are experienced spinners and teachers and are dedicated to helping students maximise their potential by breaking down each move simply and easily.

We encourage our students to practise the tricks and moves they have learnt in our classes in their spare time, so that time spent in our sessions is maximised. To support this, we organise free Poi in the Park Jam Sessions around London in easily accessible locations for our students, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to practise their spinning techniques together with their peers and friends.

We encourage students to be creative, invent their own moves and develop their own unique spinning style and flair, particularly in our Private Poi Spinning/Fire Dancing Private Lessons.

Our Workshops are fun, dynamic and intensive and are designed to be creative, interactive and team building. They are tailored to suit the event, Skill level/Age of the participants and individual requirements of the organisers and can be performed at either indoor or outdoor events.

Our Shows and Performances are highly visual, exciting and dynamic and fuse Circus skills with Dance and Poi Spinning, choreographed to high energy sounds from tribal beats to funky dance music.

We love spinning and hope our enthusiasm and joy of this beautiful art form is contagious!

As places on the Course are limited, booking and pre-payment is essential – For details please email us at perfectcirclepoi@gmail.com or call 075132 56360
