An Arabic band will be a welcome touch for the arrival of the guests at a party and during cocktails. An Arabic singer with both Arabic and English songs in her repertoire would typically perform while the guests are dining. After the main course a drummer could be introduced and lead onto the Belly dancing show. Belly dancers can perform to live music and this adds a lot of drama to their performances. Choreographed routines are powerful but being able to improvise to the drummer’s music takes a lot of experience and talent to achieve.

The typical fee to hire a musician or singer would be between £200-£300. You can contact us with details of the event, including date, time and address, for a customised quotation.

Most of our enquiries are London-based. We cater for UK-wide events however.

A traditional Arabic band would normally involve 5 musicians playing the oud, the nay, the qanun, the violin, and then a percussion instrument, like for instance the riq or the tabla.

Duets can work really well with either an oud player and a violin player, or a qanun player and a nay player.
